Retail First is committed to the health and well-being of all persons entering and visiting our Shopping Centres.
To assist in ensuring safe work practices are followed through at the Centres, Retail First has implemented a general safety course as part of our Health and Safety First program.
All contractors and their employees, tradespeople and service providers working within common areas and tenancies must successfully complete the course prior to performing any work at any Retail First Centre.
The course consists of a theory component followed by a 20 question assessment. Applicants must attain an 80% pass mark and an accreditation card can then be printed as proof of successful course completion. Most Centres have the facility to laminate the card for you and we recommend doing so as the card remains valid for a 24 month period and must be presented at any time as requested by Centre Management. Failure to present the card will result in exclusion from working in the Centre until the card is presented.
Applicants will be requested to supply certain contact details when registering. This information will only be used for the purpose of monitoring successful applicants and expiry dates.
